The Consultation Table

The design requirements began with a size specific measurement. The table was to be used as a small consultation table that could fit two people and a computer in a trusted setting. The light colored room featured a curved wall with accent colors of purple shades.

The remainder of the design choices allowed for the freedom to explore a design that would immediately bring a wave of pleasant surprise and provide a rapport building conversation piece.

    We wanted both a striking first impression as well as a complement of curvature and color.

  • The Material

    We selected a beautiful slab of tiger maple to mill the pieces from.

  • The Method.

    In order to create the curved pieces, we used bent lamination in conjunction with a vacuum pump.

  • The Result.

    We created a dozen color samples before we were satisfied with the result.
